Calculus Volume of Revolution Match-Up Activity (Unit 8)

Description

This Solids of Revolution Match-Up Activity is designed to help your Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Calculus Honors or Calculus 1 students with visualizing volumes of solids when rotated about an axis or line. There are 36 task cards in the activity. The cards are sorted into sets with a graph, an equation, and a volume formula card.

New addition, you can choose between 2-D and 3-D graph cards!

***(4/7/2022) added quadrant I restrictions to card E9,E10, & E11 to improve understanding.

As an extension, students can graph the two-dimensional equations and calculate each volume for a follow-up activity. There is a practice set of problems in a handout for this extension along with a full solution set.
