Valentine Equations & Logic Puzzles
This fun and challenging set of logic puzzle equation task cards will have your students engaged and motivated to solve the symbolic equations. There are 12 task cards at three different difficulty levels to help promote problem-solving skills necessary for Algebra, Geometry and courses beyond. The first set will challenge middle school and Algebra students. The second and third sets are challenges for high school students.
This set can be used for Valentine’s Day or for a fun practice set for solving systems of equations and using substitution method. Your students will also practice mathematical vocabulary when allowed to work cooperatively. You can also use them for early finishers, as a warm-up or skill-building challenges.
You might want to print, copy and laminate the cards to use again and again. Or, print the pages in reduced size to provide students with their own personal set.
There is an answer sheet for recording student work and an answer key for the sets provided.
